Mtn Series // Philz: Castro
Mtn Series is a body of work that I have been developing since March 2014. Braving the cold waters of the Pacific ocean and getting reacquainted with surfing since the Fall of 2013, these drawings are inspired by the intersection of land and sea. The Mtn Series is a continuous study using simple geometric shapes to depict natural elements, exploring patterns and repetition.
These ephemeral shapes are my exploration of humans relationship to time. While so many of us are bound to the clock, time remains relative. I attempt to digest and capture this concept while drawing.
